About this event
The Star is excited to bring back fan favorites to the stage in "The Winter Wonderettes" this December. Written by Roger Bean, this production is the sequel to the smash hit, "The Marvelous Wonderettes," performed on the Star's stage in 2018 with an encore performance at Rally in the Alley in 2024. Returning cast members include Betty Jean (Miranda Inglis), Cindy Lou (Jordan Teadway), Missy (Kate Niederkohr), and Suzy (Jessica Moon).
Directed locally by David Bacon, the musical is set in Harper's Hardware Store in 1968, where audiences join in as the employees of the store. It features holiday classics, such as "Jingle Bell Rock," "Sleigh Ride," and "Santa Baby."
"Winter Wonderettes" takes the stage December 3-6, 2026, with showtimes Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
The show runs about 75 to 90 minutes, and it's designed to fit into the Home for the Holidays weekend, here in Upper Sandusky. Grab a dinner, a cocktail, etc. BEFORE the show and catch Fantasy of the Lights after. (Show is DORA friendly, so if you don't finish your drink at dinner bring it to the show!)
