- ➤ City Mission extended its Low Barrier Shelter hours on Thursday and today to support neighbors during severe weather (3 p.m. to 9 a.m.) and will keep it open for unhoused individuals along with its food window starting tomorrow until further notice. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Ohio Gov Mike DeWine and Ohio Ed Dept head Stephen D. Dackin announced a $10 million school bus safety program that funded 371 school systems — including Findlay City School District receiving $89,318. The grants will help schools upgrade buses with new safety features to keep students safe. Hometown Stations
- ➤ The Findlay Fire Department will start using its new fire truck in March; the vehicle (ordered almost 24 months ago with support from the Mayor’s Office and city council) will boost emergency response in our community. WFIN

- ➤ Findlay Trojans hockey players visited Birchaven retirement community to share season stories and engage in heartfelt conversation with residents — the visit strengthened local bonds and showcased the team’s caring side. WFIN
