- ➤ Findlay was awarded a grant by American Beverage and USCM to fund its Urban Prairie Pilot Project today. The project will convert five acres of flood-damaged turfgrass in the Blanchard River floodplain into native prairie with trails and trees (boosting water quality and reducing flooding risks). WFIN
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Findlay’s former Hancock County Probate Court building, once the First Congregational Church, remains on Ohio’s Most Endangered Historic Sites list for a second year. Local historical groups (including concerned residents) urge preservation while the County debates plans for extra parking. WFIN
- ➤ The Mazza Museum invites families to Jungle Expedition on Feb. 8 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.—a free Funday Sunday event featuring art projects, STEAM activities, games, free zoo tickets from Toledo Zoo, and a free book for every child. Registration is required online. WFIN

- ➤ Dog owners in Findlay are reminded to renew their 2026 dog license by today at the Hancock County Dog Warden (4550 Fostoria Avenue) to avoid a fee increase from $20 to $40 plus a 75-cent charge; licenses are required for dogs 3 months and older. WFIN

- ➤ Lima is now a 'Store It Safe' community, with PASS offering free lock boxes + cable gun locks at 529 S. Elizabeth St during regular business hours.
