- ➤ The Mazza Museum at the University of Findlay is celebrating Black History Month with a special exhibit in the Catherine Freed Galleria that shares true stories of African Americans who broke barriers. It is free to visit (free for all) and open Wednesday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. University of Findlay
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Findlay High School Youth & Government traveled to Columbus this past weekend for the Ohio State Assembly, where students acted as legislators, lobbyists and media correspondents to draft bills and argue cases. They built on months of debate and service learning practice to showcase their growing leadership skills. WFIN
- ➤ High school seniors and health professions students in Hancock County can apply online for the BVHS Auxiliary Scholarship by March 31 to win a one-time $1,000 award (10 recipients will be chosen) for a healthcare career. WFIN
- ➤ Liberty-Benton second-grade teacher Holly Myers was honored as the CORAS Outstanding Elementary Teacher at a statewide recognition luncheon at Bowling Green State University. She received the award for her creative teaching and dedication to ensuring every child succeeds. WFIN

- ➤ Michigan Sugar is in early discussions about the future of the Pioneer Sugar silos (a familiar landmark that marks arrivals along Interstate 75). The company has not set a direction for the site and continues to review its options. WFIN
