EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ ODOT District 1 is now accepting applications from area schools and vocational groups for its annual Paint-the-Plow contest until Friday, March 13. Plow blades will be delivered the week of March 16 with design entries shared on social media and winners announced in late May. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Findlay Firefighters Local 381 received training from Sutphen on the new Engine 3 and will host additional sessions over the next few days so operators can complete driver training before the truck enters service. WFIN
- ➤ The Findlay Police Department honors Officer William Holly, who was fatally shot on Feb. 20, 1898, during a pursuit of burglary suspects, and his sacrifice is remembered on the memorial at Ft. Findlay Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 20 (also featured online via ODMP). WFIN
