CULTURE NEWS

  • The Hancock Historical Museum will host a Brown Bag Lecture tomorrow, March 5, at 12:00 p.m. featuring Reginald Routson discussing the British Invasion’s impact on music and culture; the event is part of America 250 celebrations and lasts about 45 minutes to an hour (422 West Sandusky Street).  WFIN

HEALTH NEWS

  • Blanchard Valley Hospital was named to Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals list for the seventh year and earned the Patient Experience award (showing top HCAHPS scores). Blanchard Valley Health System says the recognition reflects its strong commitment to quality care.  WFIN
  • Sheriff Michael Cortez invites parents and community members to the Hancock County Community Wellness Series 'Choices & Challenges' to discuss youth issues such as internet safety, vaping and gaming at local schools. The Findlay session is on March 21 (10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.), with later events at Arcadia and Cory Rawson.  WFIN
  • India Powell, RN received the DAISY Award from Bridge Home Health & Hospice for her skill & compassionate care, as a grateful family recognized her steady reassurance in a difficult time. The honor highlights her dedication to patient care.  WFIN

  • Fourteen individuals will be inducted into the OHSAA Officials Hall of Fame and 21 named as Officials of the Year at a banquet on June 20 at Hilton Columbus/Polaris. Findlay's William Alge is honored for his contributions in football & basketball officiating.  WFIN
