  • The Findlay Family YMCA will host its annual Healthy Kids Day® on Friday, April 17 from 5-8 p.m. at the University of Findlay Koehler Center (1000 N. Main St), offering free activities such as a bounce house, archery, and obstacle courses while local partners support healthy living.  WFIN
  • Chett Wohlgamuth, a Findlay native and Quality Lead at Whirlpool Corp, is named the 2025 Jeri Bjorling Distinguished Volunteer of the Year for his creative community service and will be honored at United Way’s Annual Meeting on March 26 (the award is presented annually since 1981).  WFIN

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Millstream Career Center teams Mayhem Manufacturing and Doomsday Engineering became champions at the Buckeye Regional FIRST Robotics Competition at Cleveland State University after three months of hard work — the win shows their commitment to excellence in engineering and teamwork.  WFIN

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Findlay police officers will wear mourning bands on Thursday, March 26 from 0001 to 1159 to honor fallen Captain Allen D. McGown (who drowned during the Great Flood of 1913 while trying to rescue a woman) and celebrate his lasting legacy at Fort Findlay F.O.P. Lodge # 20.  WFIN
