- ➤ The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation is hosting free community events in April including Family Opera on Wheels at Marathon Center—sold out, Evening with Johnny Cash at 50 North, Growing Up ’90s Family Night at Hancock Historical Museum, and Game-A-Pa-Looza at 50 North. The program aims to offer affordable, family-friendly activities in Hancock County—more events will be added as details become available. WFIN

- ➤ The Mazza Museum now offers EnChroma glasses to help color blind visitors see art as the artist intended—four pairs were donated by the Kiwanis Club of Findlay on Feb. 19. Museum director Ben Sapp said the donation is part of ongoing efforts to make exhibits more accessible. University of Findlay

- ➤ Farmers are urged to check soybean seed tags for germination percentages before planting to calculate the correct seeding rate as required by Ohio law (seed tags must list both germination percentage and the test date). Dr. Laura Lindsey from OSU Extension noted that last year's challenging weather may lower germination rates from the usual 90%. WFIN

- ➤ Findlay City Schools announced the Clothin’ Trojans 5K will be held on Sunday, April 27th to support Clothe-A-Child (an organization that helps many students). The event will also include a Raffle Basket Silent Auction (scheduled for the week of April 21st) to raise extra support. WFIN
- ➤ University of Findlay alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students came together on the Day of Giving 2025 and a record 580 donors raised $220,766 for the Findlay Fund to support new Oilers' college experience—trustees provided $56,500 in matching gifts to boost donations. The contributions now help pay for scholarships, student services and campus programs. WFIN

- ➤ Today, the Ohio Division of Unclaimed Funds launched a new online system that helps residents search for billions of dollars in unclaimed money from dormant bank accounts, uncashed checks, deposits and wages.
