COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ The Hancock County Agricultural Society board reallocated a $500K grant to finance capital improvements on the fairgrounds ahead of the 2026 fair. The upgrades will improve safety, access, and facility use for exhibitors and renters. WFIN
- ➤ The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office hosts the second Community Wellness Series, Choices and Challenges, at Arcadia High School on Sunday, Apr. 12 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Community members are invited to learn about local youth challenges and share ideas (feedback from the first session highlighted its helpful insights). - ➤ The Findlay Shade Tree Commission is giving away 250 oak trees at local AM250 events—celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary. Residents are encouraged to join and help grow the city’s urban forest. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Findlay’s green waste site is open to residents for yard debris disposal and is located at 330 North Cory Street (behind the Public Works Department building near the railroad tracks). It operates Tuesday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. WFIN
