- ➤ The Gavin Creel Memorial Fund was created to honor Tony-winning actor Gavin Creel—a 1994 Findlay High School graduate who died from cancer in September at 48. The fund will support safe, inclusive performing arts spaces where students can discover their voice and build lifelong skills. WFIN

- ➤ Today, the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library celebrates National Library Week by inviting residents to visit its redesigned facility and use free Wi-Fi, digital collections, job assistance, and creative programs. Director Sarah Clevidence said the week-long event, running from April 6–12, will connect the community with resources that support lifelong learning — ensuring everyone finds valuable services. WFIN

- ➤ A new Ohio law called Liv’s law now increases penalties for repeat drunk drivers by raising fines, lengthening license suspensions and imposing up to life in prison for aggravated vehicular homicide. The law lets police use oral swabs to test for alcohol or drugs—refusal to test may result in a lost license. WFIN
- ➤ The City of Findlay will offer a bulk trash drop off for residents from April 19 to April 26 at the Public Works Department—330 N. Cory St., with Saturday hours from 8am to 1pm until dumpsters are full and weekday hours from 2pm to 7pm until full. The event, sponsored by The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation, will not accept hazardous materials, appliances, electronics, concrete, or commercial tires and will require proof of residency or ID.
