- ➤ Schools, colleges and food distributors met today in Findlay to plan a Northwest Ohio Food Security Hub that will help districts grow food with local college support. Leaders said nearly one in eight families face food insecurity and will meet again this fall to expand partnerships. Hometown Stations
- ➤ Andrea King was named the 2026 Lee Volunteer Award winner for her decades of teaching and local volunteer work (Crime Victim Services, TV-44, Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center), reflecting a lifelong commitment to community help. Hometown Stations
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum is set to host Weather Wonders Funday Sunday on April 19 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for families to explore weather through interactive activities and a guest meteorologist (registration is required). University of Findlay
- ➤ Awakening Minds Art updated its leadership at an annual meeting on April 9 at Flight House in Findlay and reviewed program growth serving over 7,000 students last year. The nonprofit will hold its 16th Annual Art Auction on Oct. 10. WFIN

- ➤ The Findlay Family YMCA Early Learning Center opened in November after securing a $10,000 grant, with $6,600 from Findlay Rotary Club and $3,400 from Rotary District 6600 used for sensory board installations.
