- ➤ Findlay will host a ceremonial tree planting as part of the Heritage Trees: Planting History program under America 250-Ohio; the white oak will be planted at the Hancock County Veterans Service Office (401 Olive St.) on Wednesday, April 22 at 5 p.m., and residents can pick up oak saplings from the Findlay Shade Tree Commission. - ➤ The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation released the 2025-26 Community Conversations results, showing that quality of life, safety, health, housing stability, and family support received the most votes across events and surveys (more details are available online). WFIN

- ➤ The University of Findlay approved new graduate certificates in accounting, business fundamentals, finance, human resources, operations management, and trauma-informed education to help both students and professionals gain skills immediately useful in the workplace — certificates that can also count toward a future MBA. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Norfolk Southern will close the Western Avenue crossing April 27 — May 1 and the West Main Cross crossing May 4 — May 8 for repairs, as Findlay cannot work within the railroad right-of-way. WFIN

- ➤ Three student-athletes from Findlay High School committed today during a signing ceremony on campus, with Delaney Harris set to play volleyball at Heidelberg University, Lance Miller joining Adrian College for football, and Cam Wight opting for lacrosse at Lawrence Technological University.
