- ➤ United Way of Hancock County is hosting its Downtown Chocolate Tour this Mother's Day weekend. The self-guided tour runs Saturday, May 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown (tickets cost $25 and proceeds support the Vulnerable Children Initiative). WFIN
- ➤ A 48-year anniversary of the Riverside Park tragedy is observed today with a memorial honoring firefighters Roland Smith — William VanAtta who drowned trying to save children from a swollen Blanchard River on April 22, 1978. The relocated plaque near the river serves as a reminder of their brave service. WFIN

- ➤ Ohio Logistics, a Findlay-based company, is building a 100,000 sqft industrial facility on Commerce Parkway in Lima. The site will be move-in ready for manufacturers by early 2027 and a second building is set to break ground around that time. Hometown Stations
