- ➤ The Lee Volunteer Awards ceremony honored community service tonight by recognizing adult volunteer Andrea King + youth volunteer Braxton Suever, chosen from nominees across the region. Hometown Stations
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Findlay City Schools Board of Education approved Justin Shank as the new director for Millstream Career Center (serving 15 school districts in five counties). He will take over in the fall after longtime director Pam Hamlin retires. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Shawnee Township Fire Department has adopted HAAS Alert's Safety Cloud technology on two engines today so that drivers receive alerts via Apple Maps and Waze whenever emergency lights activate (costing about $800 per vehicle) to improve road safety. The department joins over 4,000 agencies nationwide using the system. Hometown Stations
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Applications are open for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program for adults (age 60 and older) this week. Eligible seniors can receive a $50 benefit to spend on fresh produce at local farmers markets, and reapplication is required as funds are limited. Hometown Stations
