- ➤ Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County celebrated its fourth anniversary by offering a free financial stability program that taught local residents essential skills for building wealth. - ➤ The Hancock County Commissioners announced that a public ribbon cutting & open house for the new Allan H. Davis Judicial Center will take place in the Local Government District of historic Downtown Findlay on Friday afternoon, May 2, ahead of Findlay’s Spring Artwalk. The event will offer interior tours & display the completed landscaping project by the Hancock Leadership Class. WFIN
- ➤ House Bill 96, Ohio's proposed two-year budget, includes a provision to end elections for county coroners and let county boards appoint them, a change that shocked state experts and raised concerns about death investigations. Lawmakers plan to allow appointed coroners to serve four-year terms with the completed bill reaching DeWine’s desk by June 30 + appointments set to begin in 2029. NBC4
- ➤ County Road 37 in Eagle Township will be closed for one week from Monday, April 28th through Friday, May 2nd for essential bridge repairs — drivers are advised to use alternate routes during the full closure. WFIN

- ➤ Hancock Public Health will host a car seat check event at Findlay Fire Station 4 (7047 CR 236, Findlay) on Tuesday, April 29th to inspect car seats and provide eligible children with new seats if needed. Local families are encouraged to sign up to help ensure their child's safety. WFIN
- ➤ The University of Findlay College of Pharmacy, the Findlay Police Department, and Hancock ADAMHS continue their safe medication disposal program that has collected over 13,000 pounds of unused drugs since 2012. The first drop-off event will be held tomorrow (April 26, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) at the Findlay Municipal Building parking lot on Crawford Street. WFIN
