CRIME NEWS

  • Findlay Police arrested 36-year-old Shannon Pullom Tuesday morning after a search of his car near Burger King on W. Trenton Ave — officers found 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 14 grams of suspected crack cocaine, two shotguns with one reported stolen, and a .50-caliber muzzleloader — and he was booked at the Hancock County Justice Center on charges of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, having weapons under disability, aggravated possession of drugs, and possession of cocaine.  Hometown Stations
  • Findlay Police say Charles Brumbaugh was struck by a truck while crossing East Main Cross and East Street on Wednesday morning at 9:53 a.m. and he was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital while driver Kevin L. Clouse was cited for failing to yield and driving under suspension.  WFIN

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Marathon Center for the Performing Arts will hold its 2025 Fifth Third Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, May 2 at 6 p.m. as part of the spring ArtWalk (this event will induct Tell Taylor).  WFIN

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Monday, April 28, Sheriff Cortez swore in Corrections Officer Austin Zeigler at the Hancock County Sheriff's Office (with his family present).  WFIN
  • The Hancock County Commissioners announced that their meeting on May 6 will be held at the former Probate/Juvenile Court building at 308 Dorney Plaza with the same start time of 9:30 a.m.—the change is for that day only to allow a preservation assessment by Heritage Ohio, and the agenda has been updated accordingly.  WFIN
  • Ohio residents planning air travel must obtain a REAL ID marked with a star by May 7 — those without the proper documents must apply in person at a Deputy Registrar office. Charlie Norman explained that processing takes seven to ten business days — residents should use the online checklist to ensure they have what they need.  Hometown Stations
