- ➤ Hancock County Farmers’ Market opens tomorrow, May 7, 4–6 p.m. at Jebbett/Rowmark Festival Grounds on the Marathon Center campus in Findlay with fresh produce, baked goods and local foods; McComb Farmers’ Market holds a Second Saturday market at 131 East Main Street on May 9, 8:30 a.m. to noon. - ➤ The Hancock County Law Enforcement Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 11 at 6 p.m. at the Fallen Officers Memorial on Romick Parkway & Fort Findlay FOP Lodge 20 to honor fallen officers and support those still serving. WFIN

- ➤ Findlay was named an Ohio Premier Life Sciences Ready Community today by the Ohio Life Sciences Association, a designation that highlights the city’s robust infrastructure, workforce assets, and strategic location. - ➤ On May 7, 2026, 400 11th grade students from Hancock County will join Mock Interview Day at Living Hope Church. Organized by Raise the Bar Hancock County and the Business Advisory Council, students will have sessions with 87 local professionals — an opportunity to build career skills. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is honoring corrections officers during National Corrections Week to recognize their dedication and long hours keeping the facility safe. The office invites the community to show its gratitude for the hard work behind the walls. WFIN
- ➤ Findlay-Hancock County Economic Development named Matt Gilroy its new Executive Director following Chris Keller’s departure to the private sector. Gilroy, who joined in March 2025 (and led the regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy and Life Sciences Ready Community designation), brings over 20 years of nonprofit management experience.
