EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ At Donnell Middle School today, former Trojan and current OSU football team member Luke Montgomery spoke at the 4th 9-weeks PBIS Leadership Luncheon (a program that highlights students for strong leadership both in and out of the classroom). Teachers recognized each as Student Spotlights for their efforts. WFIN
- ➤ Local schools are taking part in ODOT’s Paint-the-Plow contest where students paint a snowplow blade for use at local events before winter. Voting is open through Wednesday, May 20 at 3 p.m.-vote online to help choose a winning design. WFIN
- ➤ Mazza Museum at University of Findlay is hosting its annual Summer Art Camp from July 20 to 24 for local grade and middle school students. The camp runs daily 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (with a family reception on the final day) and costs $175 including materials and a T-shirt. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor DeWine announced $61 million in grants that include over $900,000 for two Findlay brownfield projects; one project cleans up a former school and the other assesses an abandoned gas station + creates new jobs and community space. WFIN
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The University of Findlay is set to host its second annual Oil Can Classic Pickleball Tournament on June 25 and 26. The event will take place at the UF pickleball courts (201 College Street) with teams of two competing by skill level and registration due by June 12. University of Findlay

5-10 p.m. — Marathon Center for the Performing Arts — Free entry — Summer kicks off with live music and fun at Findlay's biggest block party.

11 AM - 5 PM — AMVETS Post 21 — $25-$35 — Experience a day of camaraderie with a ride and festivities benefiting veterans.
