- ➤ Sheetz has made progress on its $169 million distribution facility in Findlay, slated to open this fall with a planned ribbon-cutting ceremony. The company is also hiring nearly 200 workers and hosting a CDL-A hiring event on Tuesday, June 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (5900 Township Road 230). WFIN
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will launch SummerREAD with a kick-off event on Monday, June 1 at 10 a.m. and host a series of Bookmobile parties, storytimes, and crafts at local branches (designed for all ages). WFIN
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Findlay Police Department reports an increase in coyote sightings, advising residents to observe the animals from afar and use loud actions if a coyote lingers. The Ohio Division of Wildlife says these sightings are common in urban areas & that securing attractants can help keep pets safe. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Zach Thomas, a Findlay native with nearly 25 years in behavioral health, has been named Hancock County ADAMHS new executive director following longtime director Precia Stuby’s retirement. He will officially assume the role on June 1. WFIN
