  • At the Farmers Share Breakfast held on June 12th at the Old Millstream Centre, the Hancock County Agriculture Hall of Fame inducted four local agricultural leaders—Michael Biery, S. David DeVore, Paul William Lauck, Sr., and John E. Wolfe—for their lasting impact on farming and community service.  WFIN
  • Habitat for Humanity will celebrate 25 years with a free event at Riverside Park on June 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring bouncy houses, yard games, a cookout and raffle prizes—attendees will also learn about future Habitat projects.  WBVI

CRIME NEWS

  • On June 11th at about 10:00 p.m., the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force and the Findlay Police Department searched 119 Tioga Ave and arrested Brandon Navarro (42) and Joseph Lee (44) after finding suspected methamphetamine, pressed pills, paraphernalia, cash, and other items indicating drug trafficking, with additional charges expected.  WFIN

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Ohio lawmakers passed a Senate budget plan on Wednesday that flattens income taxes—those earning $26,051 to $100,000 will pay 2.75% while those making over $100,000 will pay 3.5%—and revises property tax rules. The plan also shifts funding for a new Browns stadium by using $600 million from unclaimed funds, and a joint committee will work out final details before the budget goes to Governor DeWine by June 30th.  Hometown Stations
