Good morning, Findlay.

On Friday, the Hancock County Park District in Findlay hosted a workshop where children made musical instruments using everyday items such as paper plates, tape, rubber bands and beans.

The event aimed to show kids how simple materials can create music while boosting their creative skills.

Today, local law enforcement caught 21-year-old Zeeke Blayne Clarke who broke an Allen County Jail window with a chair to escape—he was found half an hour later on North Elizabeth Street wearing his striped jail pants and was booked back on an escape charge.

The University of Findlay held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 20 to celebrate its new pickleball courts at 201 College Street near the College of Business/Center for Student Life building.

A pickleball tournament took place and local donors Eric and Julie Anderson plus the Hancock County Community Foundation helped fund an adjacent pavilion—boosting campus recreational options.
