- ➤ Blanchard Valley Center has opened nominations for the 2025 BVC Effect Awards—this program honors employers, organizations, or businesses in Hancock County that create opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. - ➤ A Hancock County man, Jase Lauck, 24, was arrested on June 26th after deputies found a woman hiding in a crawl space at a home on County Road 8—he faces charges of domestic violence by strangulation, kidnapping, and obstructing official business while another man, Chase Craig, was arrested for obstructing official business. - ➤ The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will host a free two-day hunter education instructor class in Findlay on August 9-10 at the Division of Wildlife District 2 Office (952 Lima Avenue) that requires participants to complete the online hunter education course, be at least 18 years old, and pass a background check before the training begins.
