- ➤ The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library teamed up with Hancock Public Health and City of Findlay Parks & Recreation to plan Summer Connect—seven free neighborhood events where families can enjoy hands-on activities, free books, and educational kits. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Christopher M. Callaway, 41 (of West Farmington), pleaded guilty in March to six counts of sexual exploitation and was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Patricia A. Gaughan on July 1 while also being ordered to pay $40,000 to the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act. Hometown Stations

- ➤ The City of Findlay announced road construction from July 7th to July 11th that will close East St. from E. Lincoln to E. Lima, Carnahan Ave. from Tiffin Ave. to the Railroad, Allen Ave. from Main St. to the Railroad, Midland Ave. from Main St. to the Railroad, Garfield Ave. from Main St. to the Railroad, Twp. Rd. 80 from Springlake Drive to Springlake Dr., Morrical Blvd. from Logan Ave. to Bliss Ave. End, the westbound lane of Howard St. from Broad Ave. to the Walmart entrance, N. Blanchard St. from E. Melrose to Karen Ct., Brookview Court from Brookside Dr. to the cul-de-sac and Foxfire Ln. from Fox Run Rd. to the cul-de-sac. Residents are advised to plan alternate routes and call Engineering at 419-424-7121 with questions — officials say the work supports curb replacement, sewer, waterline and trail projects. WFIN
- ➤ The Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services is accepting grant applications from local non-profit, faith-based, education and community organizations to enhance youth programs using the Youth Thrive Framework — proposals must show how initiatives support youth including those with military-involved caregivers — and follow the official guidelines. - ➤ Blanchard Valley Health System named Holly Cameron as its July Associate of the Month for leading the clinical office team (which manages inpatient phlebotomists and specimen processing) at the main campus laboratory. She has worked for 16 years and steps in as a phlebotomist when needed to support patient care. WFIN
