- ➤ The University of Findlay and community partners will start the 20th Annual Helping Hands Food Drive on October 28 with a marching band show at Findlay High School’s Cooper Field at 7 p.m.—the drive plans contests and food challenges to collect thousands of pounds of non-perishable food for CHOPIN Hall. Other activities run through November with sorted donations delivered on November 6 by Garner Trucking. University of Findlay

- ➤ At 11:32 a.m. on July 28, 83-year-old Leah Feay was struck in the parking lot at Speedway Gas Station on Tiffin Avenue in Findlay by 55-year-old Carrie Reimer (driving a 2020 Buick SUV) and died from her injuries as investigators continue to probe the incident. Hometown Stations
- ➤ A pedestrian was struck at the Speedway on the corner of Tiffin Avenue and Bright Road in Findlay at 11:30 a.m. Monday and was seriously injured, taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital + the driver, who was shaken up, fully cooperated with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office stating alcohol and drugs were not a factor. - ➤ Downtown Findlay will host the free family-friendly Summer ArtWalk on August 1, where nearly 30 local businesses and artists will showcase art, live music and interactive presentations. - ➤ The Hancock Historical Museum Board announced today that Sarah Foltz—who served as Executive Director since early 2024—will step down on August 8 to begin a role as Community Engagement Director at the Findlay-Hancock County Alliance.
