- ➤ The Findlay Family YMCA will host Men Who Cook at the Findlay Inn & Conference Center on Saturday, Nov. 1 to support the Open Doors Community Scholarship Campaign — local cooks will compete with tailgate fare as Coach Cliff Hite serves as emcee and the event features a cash bar and football on the big screens. - ➤ The Hancock County Naturalists will host their next monthly meeting on September 11 at 7 p.m. at Oakwoods Nature Preserve in Findlay—guest speaker Scott Butterworth from the Ohio Division of Wildlife will share insights on bats and their role in the local ecosystem. Hometown Stations

- ➤ Owens Community College president Dr. Dione Somerville gave a State of the College address on Monday at both campuses as the school began its 60th anniversary year. She said the college will soon offer a new BSN Completion Program—an online course to help with the nursing shortage—and planned many events and partnerships to support growth. WFIN
