- ➤ The American Society of Ephesus released bid documents for the new Our Lady of Fatima Shrine at Indian Lake and invited local contractors to submit sealed bids on Sept. 12 as construction will begin in October. The new design replaces the old shrine with a 20 foot statue of Mary, three life size bronze figures, a Rosary Walk with custom-made rosary beads — and a stone base featuring a time capsule for community artifacts to be opened in 100 years. - ➤ PRF Insurance helps forage producers in Ohio get paid when rainfall falls below historical levels—this coverage eases extra expenses for hay and pasture by using historical rainfall data to trigger payouts. WFIN

- ➤ The Findlay Traffic Commission approved an extension of the closure of South Cory Street (closed since June 11 for a planned 90 days) until December 31 to keep pedestrians and local staff safe at the new Allan H. Davis Judicial Center, police, sheriff’s office, municipal building, and courthouse. The extension also affects the alley behind the post office (located between South West and South Cory Streets) as the commission gathers traffic data to advise city council on making the closure permanent.
