CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On August 22nd, a Findlay officer responded to a call about aggressive dogs running at large on Deer Valley Lane and was bitten while approaching a porch—he discharged his firearm, fatally striking one dog and later euthanizing the other, with no other injuries reported and an investigation ongoing. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Community Foundation approved $356K in education grants to schools across Hancock County—funds come from programs like the Allan H. Davis Civic Education Fund and Hancock Education Fund to support classroom and civic activities. Grant applications open every February and are due on the first Friday in March. WFIN
