  • Flag City Honor Flight is preparing its 32nd mission on September 9 to fly 82 Veterans from Toledo Express Airport to Washington, D.C. The free flight, sponsored by families from Yoder Machinery, includes visits to key memorials such as the Air Force Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery — and a Welcome Home celebration will honor returning Veterans.  WFIN
  • At Hardin County Junior Fair in Kenton, young students compete in livestock and rabbit events that show their hard work and teamwork—competitions continue this week with the main livestock show set for Saturday.  Hometown Stations

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will end Hoopla access effective October 31 due to rising costs that consume 20% of its materials budget while only supporting 4% of circulation—funds will be reallocated to enhance the Ohio Digital Library and reduce hold wait times. This decision reflects the library's efforts to balance its budget and maintain service quality.  WFIN

HEALTH NEWS

  • Cancer Patient Services is hosting the 4th Annual Flock Walk on September 13 at the University of Findlay’s Koehler Center to support local cancer patients and survivors—doors open at 8 a.m. with a free survivor breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and the walk and 5K begin at 9:30 a.m.—guests pay $15 while survivors participate for free.  WFIN
