- ➤ The Hancock Historical Museum will host an open house at the Little Red Schoolhouse at 8884 County Road 236 in Findlay from 1—4 p.m. Sunday, Sept 14, where docents will guide visitors and children will join in activities. The one-room schoolhouse, built in 1882 and restored in 1972, also features Brucklacher Memorial Park with a playground and sculptures. WFIN

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Findlay’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program is preparing for its annual fall Pro Bono Clinic that will begin the week of Sept 22 and conclude the week of Nov 17 — volunteer patients will receive an evaluation in week one followed by eight weeks of treatment at the Koehler Fitness Complex under licensed supervision. The program gives students practical experience while providing community members with comprehensive care for conditions such as back, knee, and shoulder pain. University of Findlay
- ➤ YMCA directors toured the new Early Learning Center under construction today—workers continued improvements inside and on the landscaping while plans for a fall Grand Opening are underway. Visitors are encouraged to drive by to see the progress. WFIN
- ➤ Liberty-Benton seniors kicked off the school year today by decorating their parking spots — an event organized by Academic Boosters that raised over $2,500 for scholarships and gave each student a reserved spot during the day. WFIN

- ➤ The Putnam County Sheriff's Office (in its fall harvest advisory) tells Findlay drivers to slow down as farmers travel with machinery that may turn in and out of fields and use hazard lights at night.
