CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Hancock Historical Museum announced its 11th annual Oktoberfest Findlay set for Saturday, September 27 from 2:00–10:30 p.m. in Downtown Findlay; over 300 volunteers are needed for three-hour shifts — checking IDs, selling drink tickets, or pouring beverages — with sign-ups due today to receive training, a commemorative t-shirt, and free admission. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Findlay has closed parts of Twp. Rd. 77 along Western Ave from Twp. Rd. 80 to Trail 81 and Western/Broad Ave from Main Cross St. to Howard St. for a sewer installation project from September 15th until 19th — detours are in place. WFIN
- ➤ The City of Findlay said traffic on the Blanchard Street Bridge between East Main Cross Street and Cross Avenue will shift during repairs—two-way traffic will still be maintained and drivers should use caution as officials update the repair schedule. WFIN
- ➤ Today, the funeral service for Officer John Schimmoeller is held at Gateway Church and a procession starts at 12:00 p.m. along a set route through Findlay - reserved for family and law enforcement - with drivers urged to allow extra travel time due to expected traffic delays. Hometown Stations
