  • The FEDC and the Fostoria Learning Center appointed Gregory R. Allen as Executive Director; he brings over thirty years of banking and community leadership experience and has served on boards including the Findlay—Hancock County Alliance—he is set to lead local economic development efforts.  WFIN

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Ohio Department of Taxation warned Findlay residents to be cautious of text messages that claim a tax refund has been approved and lead to a fake website – the scam copies official logos and asks for personal details. The department said it does not use text messages for tax matters and advised people to visit its official site for tax information.  Hometown Stations
  • Ohio State Parks received the National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management this morning—recognizing its strong work in innovation and accessibility. Governor Mike DeWine and ODNR Director Mary Mertz said the award shows Ohio’s commitment to safe, welcoming outdoor spaces—highlighting the benefits of its 76 state parks and extensive trails.  Hometown Stations
