- ➤ Findlay will host Oktoberfest Findlay, its 11th annual celebration, on September 27 from 2:00 to 10:30 p.m. as WesBanco presents the event on Main Street—families will enjoy live music, polka dancing and contests in a festive day of German culture. WFIN
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A delegation from Findlay visited Japan from Sept. 5 to 15 to build on over 40 years of business ties. The group from business, government and education visited several companies—Mitsubishi Electric, Fukuvi Chemical, and Kobelco—and attended the 55th Annual U.S.—Japan Conference to guide future growth. - ➤ Local economic development officials detailed progress on long-planned projects in Allen County, including a new Target at the Lima Mall, a Bosch data center in American Township, and an expansion of Novus Foods in Delphos — plans for an Ohio Logistics project and a distribution warehouse are expected to break ground soon. - ➤ The Alzheimer’s Association invites local residents to join the Findlay/Hancock County Walk to End Alzheimer’s set for Saturday, September 27 at Riverside Park (231 McManness Ave.) with registration starting at 9:00 a.m. and a Promise Garden Ceremony at 10 a.m. that supports free education, care services, and research for Alzheimer’s.
