- ➤ Today, the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation announced a new Affiliate Program that offers three paths—Nonprofit Affiliate, Committee Directed Affiliate, and School Foundation Affiliate—to support local nonprofits, school foundations, and community groups with administrative tasks and unified giving. Applications open November 1 and groups can also join an Organizational Strengthening Program to boost development and fundraising efforts. WFIN

- ➤ The Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce will host its 2025 Small Business Awards on October 9 at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts—doors open at 3 and the ceremony starts at 4. WFIN

- ➤ The University of Findlay’s Lea Gallery is showing Spacewalkers—an exhibition by Stephanie Rond that challenges ideas of space and identity—and will continue until October 31; a public reception is scheduled for October 22 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This ongoing display invites local visitors to explore contemporary art in a fresh light. - ➤ The Mazza Museum at the University of Findlay will unveil A Storm of Horses: The Art of Ruth Sanderson exhibit on October 9—artist Ruth Sanderson will present her equine-themed work from 6 to 7 p.m., and visitors can enjoy book sales and autographs. - ➤ Bun-Bun—a 10-month-old certified therapy bunny—has quickly become a favorite visitor at University of Findlay as he eases stress for physical therapy students during Mind and Matter sessions. Associate professor Nicole Schroeder brings him to campus for these sessions and early feedback shows his visits help reduce anxiety. University of Findlay
- ➤ The University of Findlay will host Homecoming and Family Weekend from Oct. 9 to Oct. 12, inviting alumni, friends & families to join in a range of events including a bonfire bash, art exhibit, and football game. Some events will have free admission while others require registration to enjoy reunions, sports, and cultural activities that showcase local traditions. WFIN

- ➤ Governor Mike DeWine and the Department of Public Safety launched Roadready Ohio, a free app that helps teen drivers and their supervising adults track fifty hours of practice and review real-time scores on braking, speed, turning, and acceleration (aimed at improving teen driving safety).
