- ➤ The Findlay Family YMCA will host its tailgate-themed Men Who Cook event on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Findlay Inn and Conference Center, where 11 local cooks, including returning champion Lewis Johnson, will compete for the winner’s apron and cash tips. Proceeds support the Open Doors Community Scholarship Campaign—helping families access YMCA memberships and programs—while a limited number of tickets remain available. WFIN
- ➤ MHCO hosted its 4th Annual Gala on October 9th at Ebenezer Mennonite Church in Bluffton and raised nearly $65,000 to support older adults—$23,300 of which will buy key items from the resident wish list such as a handicapped swing, a shuffle board game, and sensory equipment. Hometown Stations

- ➤ University of Findlay President Katherine Fell, Ph.D. (serving since 2010) announced she will retire at the end of the academic year in 2026 after 16 years in leadership. - ➤ The Ohio Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to use the left lane only for passing — its new social media campaign warns, 'Camp in a park, not in the left lane.' Drivers who travel slowly in the left lane may face a $150 fine on their first offense. WBVI
