- ➤ Allen County Commissioners approved an agreement to extend Jay Begg Parkway by 800 to 1000 feet in Shawnee Township to support a proposed 110,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center that could create about 25 permanent jobs and hundreds of construction jobs. The project, a partnership between the Allen County Port Authority and VanTrust Real Estate Development that includes a $1.5 million road improvement at the intersection, will break ground before the start of 2026 — a significant new business development for the region.
