EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Findlay Board of Trustees started a national search for its 18th president after current president Katherine Fell (Ph.D.) announced her retirement at the end of the school year. An Executive Search Committee made up of members from the board, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and local church groups will review applications until January 10 (deadline) with the new president set to begin on July 1. - ➤ Liberty-Benton Local Schools will have Thanksgiving Break from November 24 to 29 and Findlay City Schools will have it from November 26 to 28. Families are advised to review each district's calendar for more details. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The County Road 193 overpass opened on Thursday afternoon west of Vanlue along State Route 15 to improve road safety. Hancock County Engineer Doug Cade said the new structure removes dangerous intersections — officials plan to close the County Road 190 intersection soon. WFIN

- ➤ Blanchard Valley Health System warned patients that scam calls posing as staff may ask for sensitive details like social security numbers and mention denied insurance coverage—patients should verify that calls are from official provider numbers by checking the website or calling 419.423.5310 or 800.867.4820.
