- ➤ The Fort Findlay FOP Lodge #20 Foundation will host its annual Cops & Kids Go Shopping event at 8 a.m. on Sunday, December 7 at Findlay Village Meijer—children referred by local schools will be paired with an officer or supporter to receive $200 for shopping while their households get warm winter gear. - ➤ The Hancock County Veterans Service Office and the American Red Cross will host a free Holiday Breakfast for veterans and their families on December 6 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Findlay Elks Banquet Hall — 900 W. Melrose Ave is the venue. The event will offer breakfast from Moore than Just BBQ and the first 110 veterans to arrive will receive a special gift. WFIN

- ➤ Marathon Center for the Performing Arts will mark its 10th Anniversary with a gala headlined by Tony Award-winner Brian Stokes Mitchell. The event will include cocktails and dinner at 5:30 p.m. in Armes Hall and his performance at 7:30 p.m. in the Donnell Theater — celebrating a decade of arts and community events in Findlay. WFIN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The city of Findlay reports road construction from December 1 to December 5; South Main St. will have one lane southbound from Wallace St. to Highland Dr for a sanitary sewer project, Morrical Blvd. will be closed from Bliss Ave. to Lima Ave for a waterline project, and Tappan St. will be closed from Logan Ave. to Lagrange St for sanitary installation while roads in Springlake subdivision remain open with contractor cleanup underway & drivers should use caution. - ➤ The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that short traffic delays will take place in Hancock County from today until Dec.5 for overhead sign installation on I-75 and CR 99 outside peak hours. The department will also adjust supplemental lights for the I-75 slip ramp and add video detection at the CR 99/Speedway Dr. signal — aimed at improving the new traffic pattern. WFIN

- ➤ Today, the American Red Cross urges local residents to donate blood at drives scheduled at Blanchard Valley Hospital on December 3—McComb High School on December 4 and Findlay Family YMCA on December 5. These blood drives will offer critical opportunities for helping save lives in our community. WFIN
