The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will host a free Teen Program: School Supply Swap on Saturday, August 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Lindamood and Blanchard Rooms for students in grades 6 to 12.

Donations will be accepted in the Youth Services Department from July 28 to 31 — from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Chase Otto, a computer science student at the University of Findlay, won the national championship in Microsoft Excel on June 18 in Grapevine, Texas — earning him $3,000, a trophy and an invitation to the world championship.

He will compete in Orlando from July 27 to 30 to represent Ohio on the international stage.

Starting January next year, the local BMV will charge higher fees for driver's licenses, vehicle tags, and titling as the service fee rises from $5 to $8, registration fees increase by $5, and title fees go up by $3 with additional county charges up to $5—this change aims to fund the Ohio State Highway Patrol amid its budget crisis.
