- ➤ Ohio will raise the minimum wage for non-tipped employees to $11 an hour and increase tipped workers’ rate to $5.50 on Jan. 1—companies with less than $405,000 in annual gross receipts will continue to pay the federal wage of $7.25. The change follows an inflation-based law passed in 2006. Hometown Stations
- ➤ Ohio soybean growers are struggling as China has stopped buying U.S. soybeans due to tariffs — lower prices have hurt the market and farmers are seeking new buyers while waiting for federal talks. - ➤ The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that County Road 99 east of Main Street near the railroad tracks in Findlay will close on Tuesday, October 7 for about five days for railroad crossing repairs and reconstruction — a detour is suggested via Main Street — Bigelow Ave. — Bright Rd. — CR 212 before returning to County Road 99.
